pPod is showing signs of recovery from her illness the past few days. Her fever is down, her energy is coming back, she ate a full bowl of food, and she's interested in squirrels outside again.

Penny is home today and she's doing much better. She's taking it easy and we're letting her enjoy the comforts of the couch. The pink bandage is from her IV.

How can you get mad at a face like that?
Our poor little Penny is really sick. She came down with a high fever and she has a high white cell count. We decided to hospitalize her tonight and let them give her fluids and meds all night to hopefully help her feel better. She's in good hands but we already miss her around the house. She just laid around all day today and looked so rough. The 2 top pictures are from last night, I was putting cold presses on her head and trying to comfort her.
The other picture was just too cute to not post. Giving Nick a hug.

Don't try this at home.
Merry Christmas!
We've had a lot of snow this year so far. Nick piled most of it in one pile in our backyard so he could make Penny a snow tunnel.
I just love this picture. It was taken at the MAC (airport) dog park through the cat tails in the frozen swamp.
Here's her ride to the dog park. She hops right in there, although she does need to be strapped in so she doesn't chase squirrels.
We're going about 70 miles per hour and she's barely able to keep her eyelids on her eyes, but yet she seems to love it.
Penny's favorite thing of all time, running through the muddy swamp and chasing birds. Go to this You Tube site and watch her go.

Sometimes the smallest things she does crack us up..

At the time of this video, we'd known each other for 30 minutes. It was January 2008 and we just adopted Penny and brought her home to see her new yard. She was so good in the car, but you can tell she's still timid around us. The wigglebutt was immediately evident though.
Penny sometimes thinks she's a human.
This is a daily ritual. Looking for squirrels running by.
